Festival of Music

At the moment, the Adelaide Festival of Music is going on. It is a big event and has been going since 1891. Jack is performing on the Synthesizer in the South Orchestra (South, Central and North). Jack is also the Orchestra Leader. A lot of people in our school have participated in the festival. The South Orchestra and troupe are the best (for this year at least). On Thursday, some MPs came to see the concert along with Glyn Lehmann who wrote about half the songs. It is very nerve-wracking experience.  It is a very professional looking performance with lots of cool special effects. Lauren has sung in a foyer concert with her choir. It is an exciting experience and the participants have made lots of new friends.

Royal Adelaide Show

In Adelaide we have something called the Royal Adelaide Show. It happens once a year and always starts on the first day of September. It goes on for 10 days. We went there this year, we hadn't been there for 5 years. In the Royal Adelaide Show they have rides, farm animals, entertainment and show bags. Tens of Thousands of people go there every year. Some people come to Adelaide at this particular time just to go to the Royal Adelaide Show. We had a great time this year, walking around, looking at animals, getting show bags then last of all we went on the rides. Sadly on the day it rained, became sunny, rained, became sunny, rained, became sunny and so on. It was a very exciting event and many people went there and had a fabulous time. It was the main topic of everyone's conversation before and after the Royal Adelaide Show.

Zone 4 Camp

Recently we went down to Carrickalinga for Zone 4 Camp. It was busy but it was very enjoyable. Our family helped by cooking the meals in the Camp Kitchen. Jack helped make a dirt pile into a cool play complex with plenty to do. Kathrine and Lauren cooked in the Kitchen, the whole time, and made many wonderful meals which everyone enjoyed.
